Manual Handling Training

Manual handling training is required under Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 Chapter 4 of Part 2:Manual Handling of Loads. This training programme is aimed at providing all persons at work with proper techniques when lifting, carrying, loading, pushing and supporting. It provides employees with good work practices such as proper lift Manual Handling Techniques.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, delegates should be able to:

  • Be aware of the necessity for safe methods of manual handling to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Understand the need to avoid manual handling by using mechanical aids where possible.
  • Assess the task using the TILE criteria (task, individual, load, environment).
  • Implement the correct method of lifting ensuring minimal risk to self and co-workers.
  • Know how to safely execute all relevant workplace manual handling tasks.

Delegates who successfully complete the course passing both assessments will receive a Certification which is valid for 3 years.

Additional Information

All  Accredited Training courses are assessed following the companies FETAC Quality Assurance Procedures & Guidelines. For task specific training this course can be delivered on the customers site.

Manual Handling course by All Safety Training who is a specialist training organisation offering a variety of courses in First Aid instruction to organisations, businesses, groups (clubs,creches,playscools,mother toddler groups)  and individuals across Munster. We also provide Manual handling and Baby Massage, specialising in Paediatric First Aid in the greater Cork area.

These courses are designed to provide clear, practical and easy to understand instruction at all levels, from Basic to Advanced. The training can be provided in a company training facility or at public venues and all courses are fully insured and certified.

Founder Colette Moynihan and her team of qualified and experienced professionals have many years of front line experience in the design, structure and provision of First Aid and Manual Handling training courses. All first Aid Training is a PHECC Recognised Training Centre.

The company was established in 2008 in response to an awareness in the  lack of organised professional courses relating to Paediatric First Aid training in Munster.
